Garg’s Educare Foundation (“we”, “our”, “the Foundation”) is a not-for-profit organization registered in India. We follow transparent and ethical financial practices to ensure all contributions are utilized solely for charitable purposes.

This Refund & Return Policy applies to donations, contributions, event registrations, training fees (if any), and material support provided to the Foundation.

It is designed to comply with standard NGO operating norms and general legal expectations in India.

1. Donations – No Exchange, No Return, Limited Refund 1.1 Non-refundable Donations

All donations made to Garg’s Educare Foundation are non-refundable. Once a donor contributes voluntarily, the Foundation is not obligated to return the amount as per standard NGO regulatory norms.

1.2 Duplicate or Error Transactions

In case of:
Duplicate donation
Incorrect amount transferred
Technical payment gateway error

The donor may request a refund within 3 working days of the transaction. Refunds will be processed only after verifying:
The original transaction
Donor identity
Bank/payment gateway report
Refunds will be made to the same account from which the donation was received.

1.3 Tax Benefits & Receipt Amendments

Donations are eligible for deductions only as per applicable income-tax regulations. Once a receipt is issued, it cannot be modified unless there is a clerical error.

2. Event/Program Fees (If Applicable)

GEF may charge nominal fees for workshops, training, awareness events, or learning programs.

2.1 Cancellation by Participant

Refunds will be provided only if the participant cancels at least 48 hours before the event, subject to administrative deductions.

2.2 Cancellation by GEF

If GEF postpones or cancels an event, participants may choose:
A full refund, OR
Transfer of registration to the next available event.

3. Material Support – Non-Returnable
GEF distributes educational kits, school supplies, hygiene packs, eco-kits, and other materials to beneficiaries. These items:
Are not sold commercially
Are provided free of cost or subsidized
Cannot be returned or exchanged
Once delivered, these items are not eligible for return under any circumstances.

4. Refund Timeline & Process
If a refund request is approved based on the conditions above:
Refund will be processed within 7–10 working days
Processing time may vary depending on bank/payment gateway
An email confirmation will be sent to the donor/participant
All refund decisions made by GEF Management shall be final and binding.

5. No Cash Refunds
All refunds (if approved) will be processed only through digital banking channels to the original source account.

6. Chargebacks / Payment Disputes
In case of chargebacks initiated without prior communication:
GEF reserves the right to provide evidence of a valid transaction
If the payment gateway charges penalties, donors may be informed
We encourage donors to contact us first for any dispute resolution.

7. Compliance & Legal Framework (India)
Our refund and financial policies follow:
Standard practices of Indian Trusts/Societies/Section 8 NGOs
Guidelines for charitable utilization of funds
Applicable clauses of the Income Tax Act
Government norms on donation transparency
CSR-aligned financial conduct
This policy does not contravene any Indian law but is intended as an organizational framework for smooth operations.
